General Summary of Position:
- The Trauma Administration Intern is accountable for assisting in the identification, development, and abstraction of data from the Electronic Medical Record for the Trauma Registry. These activities include the identification of trauma patients, accessing EMR, abstracting and entering data into the Trauma Registry. Assists Trauma Data PI Specialist in maintaining registry and completing tasks associated with registry. Provides statistical support, analytical project development and associated presentations as needed. Reports to the Administrative Director of Trauma Services.
- High school degree is required, preferably with completion of two or more years college course work in a medical related field. Individual taking a gap year before medical school may also be considered.
- Less than one month of previous job experience.
- No special certification, registration, or licensure is required.
